Lake Country is just a mere 25 minute drive from Kelowna making it an excellent place for those yearning for the peace and quiet of a small community but still wanting the convenience of an urban centre. The District of Lake Country is comprised of four neighbourhoods: Winfield, Oyama, Carr’s Landing, and Okanagan Centre.
Winfield is the hub of Lake Country with expanding commercial development, a selection of wineries, new residential areas and a middle school in the works. Many young families are moving to the area bringing new life to the community.
Oyama is the northern most part of Lake Country and enjoys large lots, acreage, agriculture, and vast views of both Wood Lake and Kalamalka Lakes. Oyama has its own traditional elementary school, convenience store, and small town feel. Both Carr’s Landing and Okanagan Centre feature large lots and a rural atmosphere. These are excellent communities for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
